In this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mytotalretail.com\/webinar\/covid-19-driving-permanent-change-for-retailers\/\">Total Retail webinar<\/a>,\u00a0Loran Gutt, vice president, corporate development, <strong>Bazaarvoice,<\/strong> discusses how retailers\u00a0are pivoting quickly to keep up with demand.<\/li>\n<li>This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/04\/15\/fashion\/reese-witherspoon-draper-james-coronavirus.html\"><em>New York Times<\/em> article<\/a>, which discusses how a well-intentioned dress giveaway from <strong>Draper James<\/strong> went very wrong, serves as a cautionary tale for retailers and brands thinking of doing something similar during the current crisis.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youexec.com\">Youexec.com<\/a>,\u00a0an executive network platform built to share knowledge across businesspeople around the globe, has created a\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/youexec.com\/free-powerpoint-templates\/coronavirus-management-kit-free\"><strong>Coronavirus Employee Management Kit<\/strong><\/a>, designed to help you manage the state of affairs at your workplace due to the coronavirus crisis. Once you sign up for the free report, you&#8217;ll have access to a presentation you can follow to help you keep track of the financial impact of the pandemic on your company, your change of workflow now that employees are telecommuting, a team status dashboard, and more. I found it really helpful<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Job Information<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>As I have mentioned before, <strong>LinkedIn<\/strong> is doing a great job of updating a\u00a0<a title=\"Opens in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/news\/heres-whos-hiring-right-now-4525187\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">list of companies that are currently hiring<\/a>. There were a quite a few new jobs posted this week.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>National Retail Federation<\/strong> also has a\u00a0<a title=\"Opens in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/nrf.com\/resources\/job-opportunities-workers-displaced-covid-19?utm_campaign=Job%20Board&amp;utm_content=Retail%20Jobs%20Coronavirus&amp;utm_medium=LinkedIn%20Page%20Organic&amp;utm_source=Social\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">great list of job opportunities<\/a>\u00a0for workers displaced during the COVID-19 crisis.<\/li>\n<li>If you&#8217;re unemployed and, like many Americans, having a hard time getting your unemployment claim processed, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.today.com\/money\/free-app-donotpay-can-help-you-quickly-file-unemployment-t178657\">&#8220;Today&#8221; show featured<\/a>\u00a0a segment about a free service developed by the makers of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/donotpay.com\/\">DoNotPay<\/a> app<\/strong> that helps get unemployment claims processed quicker to get money to people faster.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Videoconferencing Tips<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>As Zoom has become part of our daily vernacular, <a href=\"https:\/\/fairygodboss.com\/articles\/17-video-meeting-mistakes-that-are-making-you-look-deeply-unprofessional?utm_source=email-transactions&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=community-missed-notification\">I thought this article would help<\/a>. It details\u00a0<strong>17 video meeting mistakes<\/strong> you may be inadvertently making on Zoom video calls that may make you look unprofessional. (The tips work well for any videoconferencing platform you may be using, by the way.)<\/li>\n<li>Tech guru Shelly Palmer shares some great tips <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shellypalmer.com\/2020\/03\/getting-wfh-video-setup\/?utm_source=Daily+Email&amp;utm_campaign=8fa222f250-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_03_30_03_01&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_03a4a88021-8fa222f250-248590465\">in this article<\/a>, where he focuses on your <strong>work-from-home video setup.\u00a0<\/strong>Total Retail&#8217;s video team said it was one of the best roundups of tips they&#8217;ve seen.<\/li>\n<li>And it&#8217;s not a myth: <strong>Zoom exhaustion is real<\/strong>. This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mindful.org\/zoom-exhaustion-is-real-here-are-six-ways-to-find-balance-and-stay-connected\/\">article<\/a> explains the phenomenon, why you may be feeling it, and how to combat it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Fun Stuff<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Wine anyone?<\/b> This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bonappetit.com\/story\/buy-wine-online\">guide<\/a> helps you figure out the best place to order vino online. Cheers to stocking up for your next virtual happy hour!<\/li>\n<li>Everyone loves<strong> Melissa Etheridge,<\/strong> right? Well even if you don&#8217;t, you have to give her props for this: Since March 16, Etheridge has been singing and playing the guitar in mini #ConcertsFromHome, which you can view on her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/39031722775\/videos\/908765749591229\/\">Facebook page<\/a>. The concerts take place every night at 6 p.m. ET (but you can view them any time), and it&#8217;s just her and her guitar. Cool, right?<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)<\/strong> is offering free online art history classes during the coronavirus pandemic. Classes run the gamut from the history of fashion design to photography to, yes, appreciating modern art.
