HomeCare+ will include seven in-home services for regular home upkeep:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>electric dryer vent cleaning;<\/li>\n<li>HVAC air filter replacement;<\/li>\n<li>refrigerator water filter replacement;<\/li>\n<li>electric water heater flush;<\/li>\n<li>garage door lubrication;<\/li>\n<li>smoke and carbon monoxide detector battery replacement; and<\/li>\n<li>light bulb replacement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The subscription includes two in-home visits per year, with up to seven essential home maintenance services performed at each appointment by local Lowe&#8217;s store associates. The HomeCare+ subscription also includes a 5 percent savings on items needed to complete services, like HVAC filters, lightbulbs, batteries and refrigerator water filters. HomeCare+ subscribers will also automatically receive Gold status, the highest tier in the MyLowe&#8217;s Rewards program, which gives them 1.5 points per dollar spent, free delivery, and members-only deals. HomeCare+ gift cards will also be available later this year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Total Retail&#8217;s Take:\u00a0<\/strong>Lowe&#8217;s is positioning its new home maintenance service as the solution for busy homeowners who don&#8217;t have time to change a lightbulb or HVAC filter. The press release announcing the HomeCare+ program cited a <a href=\"https:\/\/todayshomeowner.com\/general\/guides\/home-repair-survey\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">2025 report from Today&#8217;s Homeowner<\/a> that said nearly 60 percent of U.S. homeowners are putting off home repairs due to cost. Whether it be from a lack of time or worry about the cost of larger home improvement projects, Lowe&#8217;s is targeting homeowners who want to rest easier knowing that regular home upkeep is being taken care of.<\/p>\n<p>This yet another example of Lowe&#8217;s pivoting from its roots as just a home improvement retailer to an ownership lifecycle model, moving from one-off purchases for DIY projects to recurring revenue.
